Our People

Nicholas G. Himonidis, Esq., President and founder of NGH Associates, has an extensive background in investigations and law. He has participated in, conducted and supervised the investigation of hundreds of cases, including complex financial frauds, civil RICO claims, industrial accidents, arson, child abductions, homicides and other criminal matters. Mr. Himonidis actively manages and participates in many of the matters handled by NGH Associates, provides legal oversight of all complex investigations and regularly consults with clients regarding the development of investigative and security protocols as well as strategies for fraud prevention.

Mr. Himonidis has a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from St. John's University where he also studied extensively in the field of Security Management. He earned his law degree from St. John's University School of Law, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude and he has legal experience in a variety of areas including commercial litigation, finance, banking, corporate law, creditors' rights and bankruptcy and has worked as an associate attorney at several prestigious law firms.

Our Director of Investigations has almost two decades of law enforcement experience with a major metropolitan police department in additional to several years of experience conducting and supervising investigations and security operations in the private sector. His varied investigative experience included a substantial assignment in a major case narcotics unit and an elite organized crime investigation division, where he managed cases involving interstate drug trafficking and money laundering. Many of his cases were prosecuted in both state and federal courts, where he testified on numerous occasions. As a supervisor, he has investigated and managed sensitive internal affairs matters and has held the position of Executive Officer of a thirty member detective squad. He participates in and supervises ongoing investigations within the firm and also plays a major role in the screening and hiring of our elite investigative and security staff.

Our Operations Manager is a Computer Investigation Specialist and has extensive experience in the area of investigative support operations. She has a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Polytechnic University and also has experience in the fields of military technology and telecommunications. She is certified in Computer Investigations by the NAIS and has received specialized training in the area of computer forensics.

Our diverse Investigative and Security Staff represent a carefully selected, resourceful group of individuals, with unique skills and abilities, who exemplify the founding principles of our firm. They are all highly trained professionals with extensive experience in their particular areas of expertise. We have operatives with substantial undercover experience, who are fluent in a variety of languages, most of whom have extensive law enforcement training and some of whom have trained with the FBI in the fields of surveillance and counter surveillance.
