A large corporate client was being sued by a vendor for well over a million dollars on what appeared to be a legitimate claim; THE PROBLEM: our client was a successor - in - interest to the company which had allegedly dealt with the vendor. Although legally responsible for the debt, if it was real, they had no records or information about the transaction and were prepared to settle for $750,000.00; THE SOLUTION: extensive background research on the vendor uncovered they had previously filed a Chapter 11 bankruptcy and a careful review of the bankruptcy filing revealed they had never listed the alleged claim as an asset, leaving only two possible explanations: either the claim never really existed; or the vendor had fraudulently concealed its existence from the bankruptcy court. The case promptly settled for a fraction of what our client was originally prepared to pay.

Freeze Those Accounts!
In a fiercely litigated, high profile matrimonial case with over $20 million at stake, NGH Associates successfully identified substantial undisclosed assets and our client obtained a court order freezing all accounts and safe deposit boxes in the spouse's name; THE PROBLEM: the spouse with the assets had close relationships with these banks and might get tipped off by the first bank served with the order, allowing him to avoid service himself and attempt to transfer assets by phone or wire or make a mad dash to clean out safe deposit boxes before they were sealed; THE SOLUTION: after detailed pre-operation logistical planning, NGH operatives conducted simultaneous personal service of the court order on the spouse and each back, thereby preventing any assets from being transferred.

Child Recovered!
When a non-custodial parent kidnapped their 3 year old son and fled to another state with intentions of fleeing the country, operatives of NGH Associates tracked down the child and the "kidnapper", and placed them under constant surveillance and coordinated with private attorneys and law enforcement in two states, obtaining a fugitive warrant for the non-custodial parent and facilitated the safe return of the child.

Elusive Witness Located and Served!
The testimony of a key witness in a multi-million dollar litigation was crucial to the client's case. THE PROBLEM: The witness, a foreign national, seldom traveled to the United States and had previously denied being served with a subpoena. THE SOLUTION: After learning of an intended trip to the U.S. our operatives tracked the witness to a posh New York City Hotel, served the witness and documented the entire event on video tape, making personal service impossible to deny.

Computer Forensics Pays Off Big Time!
Our client's spouse, a wealthy, high profile physician, was suspected of infidelity; THE PROBLEM: the subject was frequently out of town on business and physical surveillance of his activities would be extremely difficult, and prohibitively expensive; THE SOLUTION: utilizing our Computer Forensic capabilities, we identified the subject's paramour, whose schedule and activities were easily ascertained, and caught the subject on video in a romantic interlude with the paramour on our very first day of surveillance!
